hey i have a 97 black top in a s14...
I just installed my boost gauge (autometer mechanical) its pretty cool. but im wondering if my meter should be in a vaccum at idle? cuz its at zero ..
should'nt it be at a vaccum at idle? or is it like that cuz its turbo?

Check for leaks at the gauge. Vacuum should exist at idle.

yes it should be at vacuum @ idle. do what pacman says. check for leaks.

Check the way you hooked up your vacum lines, had the same problem before.

It has to connect to a pot on top of the TB.

yes you need vac at idle..
check fsm and it should tell you what the readings need to be.
well I fixed it... Turns out I could only get pressure out of that port from the TB, So I teed into my waste gate now it works perfectly. damn autometer kick a**
btw does anyone know what those other ports r for? when I first got the engine they were both blocked off by a rubber cap....
