Rerouting KA24E fuel lines

Is it a good idea to run 2 longer rubber fuel line hoses so I can remove the Idle cover and 2 metal lines which block access to the IAA? I don't see why I need to have the Idle cover and metal lines between the rubber fuel lines.

Doesn't hurt a thing. I delete all the extra fuel hardlines on DOHC engines and just run extra long hoses straight into the rail.

The most difficult part is getting the hose off of the tube running from the fuel tank. Took some time to get it cut off. Car runs fine without the tubes dividing the hoses by the IACV.
