i actually just made a thread about this (should've search eh?)..dnomyar, was the leak on the outlet of the compressor on the turbo? searching said it could be the exhaust manifold to turbo gasket being blown out?

maybe thats where mine is as well..i pulled it off many times but never replaced the gasket. would a permatex gasket maker work or should i get something better? i just ask because i have some laying around..

btw, wouldn't it cause a boost leak symptoms like bucking/sputtering, or is it because the leaks are too small or something?

my car doesnt really sputter at all,
is there any other sign of boost leak? and how expensive is it to get a new turbo gasket and fix my boost leak?

i believe the gaskets are like $15 or something like that? i used RTV silicone but can't say if it held up or not as i still have the whining. go to last post and watch video and confirm if it sounds like that.

I doubt the compressor wheel would've touched the housings, but just to check, take the inlet elbow off and see if there's any contact between the wheel and the comp. housing.

eliminate problems one by one.

all my exhaust bolts are tight on the manifold, O2 housing, and downpipe..replaced the compressor outlet gasket, and there is minimal shaft play. maybe some sort of small leak in the IC piping somewhere?
