so one day im driving back home and from out of no where my temp gauge started to skyrocket to the top. so of course the car stated to overheat, so i had the radiator flushed out at a radiator shop and i tried to charge the thermostat and guess what! no thermostat so i put one on regales. so i took her for a spin and yes she started to overheat again. so then i go to the fan. i drill two big ass screws where the fan clucth go's to c if its the fan, and sure enough she still overheats. i changed the radiotor cap has well and still same sh*#. so now im stuck dont and i dont know what else it could be. oh and im pretty sure i dont have a blown head gasket cause theres no water in the oil and no white smoke. so any one got any ideas.

was it actually overheating? or is that just what the gauge said? i'd put a better gauge on it if you didn't notice the coolant boiling in the overflow tank.

did u bleed the air out of the engine probably??
There is a bleeding screw on the intake side of the engine. take that bolt out, and there will be alot of bubbles coming out. It took me like half hr idle to bleed all the bubble out.
you can also rev the engine a bit to see if coolant is shootin out of the hole, so u know the water pump, n thermostat is running. (make sure engine is at normal operating temperature).

Well I figure out the problem. So the 1st problem was the radiator, it was dirty so took it to get flushed out. But when I got it back I also put a new thermostat on and it Still overheated. So long story short auto zone gave me the wrong thermostat so that was overheating my car after so ya, fuck u auto zone!! Oh and thank u guys who reply to my post and for all the info helped out a lot!!

Very common problem is the hose under intake manifold. It bends/collapses from being soo old.
