T25 Turbo crapping out? [sr20det]

Ok so it's been a week and a half since I've swapped in my blacktop sr20, but now it seems the motor has developed this really annoying and obviously concerning rattle/vibration @ around 3,000rpm and up; on and off load. It's definitely coming from the turbo manifold/turbo area but just be sure I took the valve cover off and gave the valve train a look and it checked out fine, I also checked for shaftplay and it moves side to side just a little and has very minimal in/out play.

I basically want to get a second or third opinion on what this noise could be as I've never had a turbo go out on me in this fashion usually it just smokes really bad and I just toss it or have new seals put in.

EDIT Note:

The car does boost about 9-10psi(consistently) so the waste gate must be bad too since I don't have a controller and my car is very stock motor wise besides full 3" downpipe/exhaust. Just thought I'd throw that in there...

ya tsounds weird. i would lean towards the turbo housing or any surrounding parts that is no rod knock

sounds like you sucked up a cow in the intake lol

ive never hear a turbo so that before.... maybe check the intake pipe for loose debis??

hah it does kind of sound like a cow but it's been driving me freaking nuts to the point where I don't even like to boost anymore I just try to stay out of it 90 percent off the time.

I'll look around some more this weekend but I'll be get another turbo next week anyway hopefully a T28.

solved, ended up being the flange bolts :duh: they backed waaaay out and boy those are a bitch to tighten back up.
