Head Gasket ?

hey guys,

im looking to get my head gasket upgraded from stock. i need to know what one is the best for the sr20det motors. i was thinking the hks HG 1.2 87mm. im trying to keep the stock compression 8.5.1 a anyone can please help me out thanks very much!!

Do not use cometic, although some ppl have sucess with it majority of the time these gaskets fail

HKS is good, Although I reccomend Power Enterprise or Apexi

Your compession will still be the same but depending on how much you have to shave the head and thinkness gasket will only affect it slightly

really? i never had a problem with em. and my buddy has one and boosts 1.5bar never blew his out and he had it for 1yr and half now. but to each his own. to op go with what ur comfy with.

Yeah pretty much every thread you see talking about a blown H/G its either a Stock H/G or Cometic.

Rarely you will find a thread about an Apexi or HKS or PE H/G Blowing

O ok never really heard bad things but we're the only 2 that run 'em. Most ppl over here are running the tomei's.

Apexi, HKS, Cosworth, GReddy.... umm did I leave out cometic? you get my point... hehe.

I have an Apexi HG installed, 1.1mm thick, daily boost 15-17psi. It's worth the few extra bucks.
