say you have a bone stock 240sx how much do you think it would cost to get a 1jz motor in a 240sx ? cost includes
buying the motor
installation
and parts needed to make the swap campatable with the s chassis
thanks
what do you think the quarter mile time would be on it?
whats the highest you can boost on a 1jz with stock injectors?

Too much if you're not installing it yourself.
Get an SR.

too much money if not DIY as previously mentioned
if you want more info on the capabilities of the 1jz, 1.5jz, and 2jz go to SF or clublexus. these questions are constantly regurgitated on there :)

Did that estimate you were given include, Intercooler System, Radiator, Fans, Wiring Service, Clutch Replacement, Driveshaft, Mount Set, .... everything essentially required to do the swap ?
You will want to consider suspension upgrades with that swap also.

Lol. You make it seem like his estimate was a bit looow.
4500 in a Sr would give you over 300..4500 inlcuding the cost of and SR if he gives you a good deal..Could put you close to 300..
But if you go with a holset turbo..Then you could make some crazy numbers for a cheap price.

Customer of ours with 1JZ w/ AEM - stock motor, stock turbos, stock injectors - 366whp
so the stock capabilities are pretty good.

$4500 swapped for a stock 1JZ would be about right, for the minimal parts required for the swap.
The limiting factor for 1JZ's is the stock turbos, not the injectors.

Damn that's great ~ how much boost? More than 1bar?

so far, i've spent $2700 (motor and motor mount brackets). need to get clutch, driveshaft, shifter extension, radiator, intercooler, and wiring. with the motor, it came out to be around $6000.
