OK. So here's what's up.

-This is a SOHC to DOHC swap-

My car just turns over but won't start

I know for sure the starter solenoid is bad. But before it went bad it would just turn over. It has spark, is timed correct (I know it isnt 180 off). It has fuel up to the injectors but the guys who sold me the motorset were very flaky. When I agreed to buy the ka out of a running car, a different motor showed up... so, i'm not to sure everything is there. ECU throws only a 5-5 code before startup and I got it to fire up a couple times but it ran like ass. It would die right away if I didnt hold the rpm up higher. Then afterwards, no starty

I am very confused and have been having trouble with this motorset.

The motor was out of a 96 so I know it didnt have the right dizzy. I changed that. I have a dohc cluster, the harness, and what I was told, everything I needed for the swap. My Harness is however cut on the opposite side as the engine side. I believe that side goes to the gauges.

Now I can't guarantee the TPS was set right either because it was loose when I got the motor. I attempted to replace it to the correct position via an ohm gauge.

It has new plugs, new wires, new cap and new rotor. I know it sparks and it has a brand new fuel pump.

When the motor and the car went to the place to get put in, they seemed very sketchy and wanted to hurry me through. They set the motor and and showed me the motor worked with starting fluid... But they couldnt get it to turn over via keyswitch, I have since fixed that.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE TO ANYONE WITH ADVICE!

Start with checking for a vacuum leak. Then test for spark on all four cylinders as well as fuel.
Then move on to timing.
