Spring Training time, a few more weeks and the official start of MLB is under way. Good thing we have the WBC here for the time being. \
Let's get the ball rolling...
your favorite to win the World Series this year?
Of course, for me it would be the Yankees.

Manny Ramirez finally signs with the Dodgers for 2 years. About damn time.
With that said... go Angels. I don't really follow baseball until September rolls along.

A-Rod has always been a tool in my opinion, along with Jeter. Matter of fact, I hate the whole Yankees organization.
Too bad the MLB doesn't have a salary cap, or the Yankees wouldn't have won so many Series.

Phillies here we go =0! They just mailed me my season tickets for the year Tuesday!!
If the Yankees don't atleast WIN their division this year there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with the organization. With all the money they are throwing at their problems they are gonna be some real trouble if they can't beat the Sox. The Rays were a total fluke last year IMO

Why is it a shame? Team USA really isnt geared towards this whole tournament. Actually I'm suprised they made it as far as they did. For one we have the long offseason where other countries are playing practically the whole time up until the WBC. On top of that team USA is all about the politics, everybody gets (somewhat equal) playing time, doesnt matter if your on a 4-4 tear or your 0-4. Either way I love the WBC, I wish our country was more like some of the others (Ven, PR, Kor, Jap) getting all into the game. Having fun with it and seriously pulling for your team to win.

awesome, watch this turn into a Yankees thread since i'm the only one posting LOL anyway Andy Pettite is on the mound and he's gonna do great this year despite his age. sure he did roids, but he admitted to it. unlike that other useless Yankee(s) named Clemens and Rodriguez. i swear if Jeter comes out and starts saying he did stuff, imma convert to a Nationals fan.

The Angels play today after a postponed game due to the death of rookie pitcher Nick Adenhart. I don't think they are ready to play.

Manny Rodriguez with a 50 game suspension for a positove drug test!! Dizzzam
SimpleSexy180

it saddens my heart. Knowing us SOCAL people, we dont give a shit.
apparently its not a "steriod". have to wait a bit to see what exactly triggered a positive test.
I've been disappointed with baseball for a long time. They have been handling the sport like a bunch of dumb fucks.

FOX Sports on MSN - MLB - Manny suspended 50 games for positive PED test (http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/9547972/Manny-suspended-50-games-for-positive-PED-test)
more info here, finally good shit!!
Ramirez is expected to attribute the positive test results to medication he received from a doctor for a personal medical issue, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing a source familiar with the matter.

The problem is it doesn't matter what the circumstances are, positive is positive to MLB. So hopefully the Dodgers will be able to keep the ball rolling until like August when Manny returns :bowrofl:

who else thinks joe morneau of the twins is on roids? guy hit 13 homers (career high) in 2006 and all of a sudden coming back from injury, he already has 11. they say baseball has the toughest drug testing program.

I doubt he is. He's had power developing since he was a prospect (and his power was rated very high by the way). Baseball does have the toughest drug testing BY FAR. Because its not just steriods, its a whole slew of various substances, and the penalties IMO are stiff, compared to the NFL where players get slapped on the wrists for 90% of things.
