Hi
I have a ka24de engine that is completely stock. I have a problem with a fitting on my valve cover that seems to have come loose, I have no idea what caused it, just bought the car a few weeks ago. I tried to research the part in the fsm as well as on nissan courtesy parts and google for any part numbers or info on instillation but the best i could find was the hose that attaches to it is the blow-by hose which then routes the blow by gases back into the intake just before the throttle body. My only question is how do i reinstall the fitting, its about an inch or two long elbow fitting (for the blow by hose) which plugs into a hole in the front passenger side of the valve cover . There are no threads on the fitting so i am assuming that i would just apply a liquid gasket to seal it but i would like to be confident before i try to rig it back on and start the engine. Hope this is enogh info but i can get pictures if anyone wants more detail. Thanks

Has anybody ever had this happen, should i just replace the valve cover, or is it cool to seal it with some high temp gasket maker???

RTV, tap it in with a hammer. It really doesn't matter if it's gone since you don't need it, just leave the hole open to vent.

Thanks it seems like its gonna hold, i still need to let it cure but tapping it helped it to seat into position better, thanks again.
