Engine trouble

Im new to this but i bought a 93 240sx and it runs great but it idles nasty. I have a check engine light on and when i floor it, it feels like it hasitates and then it speeds up. Also when im at a stop or red light the engines shakes nasty. Any help would be great.

check if there is any vaccume hoses disconnected. if they are all intact then check the timing.

also check your sprak plugs and your maf senser to see if its dirty. it might be reading wrong if its dirty enough. had that issue.

Knock sensor.

Search on how to fix it.

If it feels like V-tec just kicked in y0, then it's definitely your knock sensor.

Also, clean out your intake manifold with some good ol' intake cleaner or just seafoam it.

Search for seafoam, intake cleaner, and knock sensor.

i think it does have to do something about a vacuum leak cause i took it to some shop and they told me it was a vacuum leak but the damn mexicans just did a mickey mouse on it.

You should get the code pulled before you try and replace anything. You could also spray car cleaner around the intake tract.
