me and my homie tried timing my car did everything right but it still off a tooth
what can be the problem car seems less torqy and really slow would it be on the timing chain ?

Being off by a tooth will make the car feel sluggish and have less torque.

why dont you fix the timing man?
make sure your intake camshaft dowel on the cam gear is at 10 clock
and your exhaust at 12 o clock
then make sure there is 11 complete links from end to end, from the dot's on the cam gears count it like that
