I currently have a KA-T onevia with the blown-motor mod. I bought the car with the KA-T, but as time has passed, my needs/wants have changed and I want to bring the car back to NA.

I want a daily driver. I no longer want to worry about aftermarket turbos and all that bizness. I want my windshield wiper fluid back, and I want A/C back. I need to be able to get in the car and it starts up every time. Stock reliability.

My question is. What parts do I need to go back to stock? And what can I keep?

Setup as it sits:
- Blown KA24DE
- T3/T04E
- TIAL 38mm Wastegate
- CX Racing FMIC
- Z32 MAF
- HKS SSQV
- SSAC Turbo Manifold
- SR20DET Downpipe
- EFormance ECU Tune
- 560cc JECS Injectors
- MSD Blaster 2

I have another KA waiting to be dropped in.

Please, no posts about me keeping KA-T, I've made up my mind. All the uneeded parts will be for sale when the car is up and running.

oem's are 270s?

just wondering... why wouldn't i be able to reuse the turbo manifold and downpipe w/ the na/ka setup? and i dont have to run cats?

also, would there be any benefit to using the z32 maf w/ the stock ka setup? any detriment?

i read that the sr20 dp fits right up to ka headers/turbo manifolds

Z32 maf wont work with the stock ecu nor will it work with the eformance ecu if you change the injectors to stock.

dude you don't wanna run a turbo manifold on an NA setup It's not benificial at all you lose your stock bottom end/torque I'd just buy some cheap aftermarket headers. Yes you can run a z32 maf with a stock setup. and before you ask yes you need to find stock injectors or something alittle closer to stock 300cc highest, or else your shit won't fire up. also you might be able to scavenge a piece of you intercooler piping to make it simple and convert to right-side MAF. once you do all that you should be ready to go.

Do you know anything about your car?

It sounds like you got douped into buying this car and you don't know what's ahead of you.

Sounds like you should've just bought a stock car.

If you really want to make it easy, just buy a complete KA24DE out of another crashed car and swap it in, there isn't much else you'd need to do.

And stop all this talk about going back and forth with manifolds/MAF/ECUs.

If you want the reliability you're talking about, put your car back to STOCK OEM set up. That's the only way you're REALLY going to know it'll start everytime. Plus the car is like 15+ years old so you might be lucky then.

This is coming from someone who has gone turbo -> NA -> Turbo on the same KA.

Umm...have you looked at a stock manifold??? How the hell do you plan on using a turbo manifold and dp. Theres this thing in between the 2 called a turbo. I suggest you look at a stock setup so you can figure out how dumb your idea is...:duh:

Better idea, sell your turbo setup, you can probably sell it and get a full NA KA swap with low mileage on it.

Find someone with a 240sx who wants to go KA-T. Swap engines with the other person.

Or just trade cars! That would be the fastest way!

thanks for all the advice...

and falkon240: I didn't get "douped," it's just my plans have changed, and I need more of a daily.
