View Full Version : NEED HELP WITH 240sx PROBLEM!!!!

hey there everyone im having problems with my 1989 240sx. when i drive pass 65 mph the car jerks as if it was stalling. when i go into low gears at stops all the lights would turn on and the car would die, i try starting it but it makes clicking noises until i rev it up and it'll start again. whats the problem? alternator? can anyone help if so here is my email or just reply to the post. it can be alot of different things your timing chain can be going bad causing your timing to be off which causes your valves to bend, also your starter can be bad it you here a clicking noise, and if your cars "stalling/jerking" at 65 mph, your MAF(mass air flow) can be clogged/dirty, or you just might need a tune up

OP - How many threads are you going to open and copy/paste? Check your other thread.

CrazyKoukiS14 - How did you come to the conclusion that he may have bent valves from the short, kinda vague list of symptoms? Stop giving people bad information.

try checking the main alternator fuse that might be the problem i had a similar prblem before and it turned out to be the fuse that was burned out but not completely so
so i still had power flowing but noy like it had too..

umm lets see shithead well if your timingchain is going bad that is going to result in inaccurate timing which will cause your valves to come out at the wrong time which will cause the piston to bend them
