which do you think would look better on an S13 (think grey S13 coupe w/ JDM nose and with grey/silver wheels)... most likely with the "GT-R" offset (forgot the exact measurement) that looks badass on those wheels...

P.S. the 10-spoke CE28 comes in 4-lug right?

for a GTR offset you'll need fender flares or LOTS of negative camber to make it fit. just FYI

will i need the flares if my width is only like 7" up front? (don't want too much negative camber b/c it's gonna be a daily driver). i might not go full "GT-R offset" but i will definately be going for that look (spokes flaring out from hub to the rim instead of flush like on FWD cars)... still got some research to do though as to exactly what size i'm gonna get...

gtr offsets arent 7" skinnies
more like a 9" and up.
r33 gtr are 17x9 +30. gtrs wont go down to 8s
r33 gtr are 16x8 +30 (iirc)

7s are skinnies! my wheels are 7" and 7.5"

if i ever buy aftermarket it will be 9" and 10"s

7s are weak.

iirc, the 8-spoke is for 4 lug. the 10-spoke is for 5 lug.

CE28-N in Bronze. bronze wheels are nice. :D plus, too many ppl have the TE27.

the largest CE28-N's come in, for 4 lug, is 17x8.5. anythin else, u'd need to swap to 5 lug. TE37's stop at 18x7.5 for 4 lug.

GT-N is looks the best, IMO. especially in gold. .:drools:. it's just damn sexy! too bad it'll only fit 5 lug, unless u gots a Honda.

dousan: you can get "skinnies" in +20 offset, which looks pretty similar to the 8" +30... and if 7s are so weak then how do you recommend i get 17x8s under a stock S13 front fender without so much negative camber it won't be daily-driveable?

r33 gtr are 17x9 +30. gtrs wont go down to 8s
r33 gtr are 16x8 +30 (iirc)

and just cuz an offset is low doesnt make it a gtr offset.

negative camber is required w/o fenders flares w/ a wheel that's a GTR offset, not a normal wheel


fit in an s13? 17x8 +30 should be fine. fits PERFECT. r32 wheels fit perfect w/o camber on a s13/4

r33 requires some camber.




and neg camber doesnt kill tires, toe does. common myth

no, camber can kill tires, it just has to be really bad (happened to my dad's Porsche 951 (944 turbo)... dealer set front camber really really crappy (RF has like zero camber and LF has enough to be visible, especially if you compare the distances btw tire and fender lip)...

anyway i probably should have said "GT-R style offset" to avoid confusion :D

so 17x8" +30 should work up front (assuming clearing Z brakes and JIC FLT-A2s)... how about the rears? i'm thinking if i end up getting the turbo kit i want i'm going to have in the neighborhood of 300rwhp eventually and want to be able to put it down... should i get 17x9 for the rear or 17x8.5? i fell like a n00b asking this stuff b/c i haven't gotten around to searching threads for it, but since it was brought up... :D

I've got the CE28's (BRONZE) on my '92 S13 Fastback. The following size work for me without and fender rolling:

(F) 18 x 8.5 +40
(R) 18 x 9.0 +40

They fit flush and look awesome.

It's not just the wheel width, it's how much the tire bulges out from the wheel too.

You can fit 10 inch wheels on the front of an S13 if the sidewalls are perfectly verticle.

nice. unfortunatly to get 10-spoke (good offset) CE28Ns i have to convert to 5-lug which will add another $500 to the total cost... looks like my wheel selection is gonna be price-limited and not style-limited (i might have to go with kosei K1s)
