why does that sound so crazy? It could be plugs too though.

brand new plugs. whats the best way to find a boost leak?
also ive noticed its runnin a tad bit hotter than normal but then the other night out of the blue the temp guage showed it really cool, im replacing the temp sensor right now could that have anything to do with it??

there are 2 temp sensors, one for the instrument cluster and 1 for the ecu. The one for the instrument cluster has nothing to do with how the car runs.
What plugs are you running? Is the gap too big? what gap? what heat rating? how are the grounds on your block?
you can make a boost leak checker, you need a coupler to go on your turbo, a pvc pipe capped off with a tire valve stem and have a gauge on the pvc pipe too so you can see that your not over pressurizing it. You should be able to hear the air excaping from wherever it is.

so what heat rating and what gap? If you didnt gap them they are probably too big and you could be getting blow out. You should probably get a step colder too.
I like bkr7e ngk coppers but you could probably get away with a 6 if your not making a ton of power. Im sure the gap on them plugs is probably way too big though for a turbo.

sounds like ur spark plugs are not gapped right, did u buy them pregapped.. or did u just buy spark plugs and put them in.. or you could be running to rich...

you bought these spark plugs for a naturally asperated car, and they probably dont need gapped if you were going to use them for that car. The thing is I always get a varience on pre gapped plugs, and since you have a modified motor your going to have to modify little things that other cars wouldnt require you to do.
Also, you have no business owning the type of motor you do if your going to take advice from the guys that work at the counter at a parts store. Im not trying to be mean but you have to know when to not listen to them.
Dont waste your money on iridum plugs, just get ngk copper, either a bkr6e or bkr7e and gap them down to like 26 and if you want to see how large of a gap you can get away with just keep adding gap to them untill you start getting a break up issue.
