so to start my car, i have to let the pump(walbro 255) prime once, then let it prime a second time for my car to start.

if i just let it prime once, it just cranks and wont start, and once its primed the second time it will start right up.

s13 redtop sr

any idea as to what is causing this?

If the fuse were blown, it wouldn't turn on at all, but bad wiring might cause what you're describing (although typically bad wiring means it will never turn on, or never turn off).

To the OP - it could be that you hooked the fuel hoses up backwards, and are feeding fuel through the regulator (which is supposed to get fuel after the rail).
