Hey guys looking for some troubleshooting help here.
Blacktop sr20det
stock turbo
stock FPR
Walboro 255lph fuel pump
stock injectors.
Ok, I'm getting spark just fine. Fuel is pumping well and gets to the fuel rail but just goes back out via the FPR. No fuel getting to the cylinders. Injectors are not clogged, drove it last night, they are simply not firing. So I go to pull codes off the ECU and discover that there is no diagnostic screw on the bottom of the ECU. Also when the ignition is turned "on" ECU does not light up at all. This left me unable to pull codes. My question is do I have a bad ECU or is somthing else going on here. Thanks for your help.

have someone pinch the return line while you try to start it in order to rule out the fpr being bad.
You should be able to squeeze the injectors while turning the engine over and feel them click if they are firing. You could take the rail off with all the injectors while trying to start the engine to see if they all fire.
Also have you checked every single plug to see if its getting spark or did you just check 1? You may have got lucky (or unlucky however you look at it) and got a plug that is getting fire. Your igniter could be blown on 1 or more of the other cylinders. Your coils may be bad on the other cylinders. Your wiring to 1 or more of the fuel injectors might be bad. Or the wiring to 1 or more of the coils or the inputs to the igniter might be bad.
There really still is plenty of things you could have checked but since you have a thread leave it open to other suggestions and make sure that when you find your problem you come back and tell everyone whats wrong. I have seen so many times that when I search for problems I have I find plenty of people with the same problem, but they just never update their threads and say what the problem was or how they fixed it.

All my spark plugs are firing just fine. No gas is getting into any cylinders. FPR is not bad. Thanks for the suggestions, anyone else have any?

Also apparently the previous owner had a 30amp fuse in the dome light position in the inside fuse box. This is supposed to be a 10amp fuse. Do you think this could have killed the ECU or simply melted the wires that cause the injectors to fire?

Ok so somewhere I have burnt wires thanks to whoever put the 30amp fuse in there. I know this because the ECU is getting no power whatsoever. Finding this is going to be a real PITA though. I know that ECU pinouts 38, 39, 47, 48 are ECU Power and ECU ground. However I have to take the dash off just to get to the harness.

well you should definitely check to make sure your injectors are ACTUALLY firing. Once you have remedied all of the problems with the ECU wiring check to make sure each injector has 12V. Also you can rotate the CAS (out of the head and plugged in) and you should hear each injector "click" (if you have a spare, working, CAS you can just plug that one in and use it to verify the "click")
this is a little safer/simplier to do if you are by yourself and trying to listen for the click while the motor is making all of the other mechanical noises.
hope this helps...
BTW the FSM is great for figuring this shit out

egi fuse... check that shit.

EGI fuse is good.
Injectors don't fire at all. Not sure if they are getting power or not, picking up a multimeter tomorrow to check.
Do the ECU power/ground go directly to EGI fuse under the hood?

if your ecu is getting no power because of the fried wires fix that first after you get your ecu to work properly it shoudl work fine ifnot, after you get the ecu working properly report back.

Ok, the pinout I was looking at for the ECU was incorrect. Finally got my multimeter and the injectors are pulsing. My best guess is that there was water in the gas I got causing the injectors to stick when it sat outside over night after having water run through them. Going to remove them tomorrow and tap them with 12v to unstick them. Hopefully it'll work.

take em to a shop and have em sonically cleaned/ it usually works GREAT

Ok took the fuel rail off and applied 12v power to each injector. Each one fires just fine. However when the fuel rail is put back into the car and plugged up, the injectors will not fire. I am going to cap off the return line and make sure the FPR isn't bad by forcing there to be pressure in the rail.
If it isn't the FPR then it has to be something electrical. I'll be at a loss then. But anyways update tomorrow. And I hope this thread is helping others solve similar problems, that's why I keep updating it.

Ok, clamped off return line from FPR to force pressure into the system if FPR was bad but injectors still didn't fire, not a bit of gas.
Replaced EGI and EGI Pump relay, nothing changed.
Probably getting towed to my friend's shop tomorrow because there's not much else I know to do.

ahhh same shoes! hurry! oh and for future reference for everyone reading, a noid light works great when looking for pulse to the injectors by yourself!

I got the car running a while back, power to the injectors had shorted out because a heater hose was leaking on the wire. It was completely random and annoying to find but whatever lol.
