So far I know everything else will work, but will a J30 VLSD work if the car is 4 lug? Is there a difference? I know it's a 97 J30, and I believe I'll need two upsized bolts for it, but that's no biggie.

I assumed they had different axles between the 4 lug and 5 lug. Wasn't sure though. The S14 axles won't work for a 97 J30 VLSD?

im not sure with what years j30s but its the output shafts (6 bolt/5 bolt) that will determine if itll be direct bolt on. im in the process of looking stuff up on j30 vlsds because my welded is annoying me :-/

Wow. No. The hub is different, not the axle. Two completely different things. The diff is a direct replacement with no additional parts. Where ever you're researching, quit.

Thanks for the heads-up.
