Hey guys,
I just bought a 1989 240sx coupe with a silvia front end and it needs some work. It's auto(will swap 5 speed in a few weeks, looking for 5 speed swap parts) and was idling wrong at the time. Adjusted the idle on the ecu and it is idling pretty well but there is absolutely no power when I hit the gas, I was able to get it to go to 65 on the highway but it was a strain getting it. Any ideas? All the injectors are going and I am getting spark on all 4 I am thinking of sea foaming it since it has been sitting for a while. I think the ECU could be bad making the timing off.

Sorry had to clear up some crap so I could think more clearly.

Bad idle is going to be cause by timing.
You adjust timing at the distributor, not via the ECU.
Use a timing light to set the timing correctly.
Also make sure that you've got good compression across your cylinders as well.

Will definitley do thanks. Yeah I know nothing of engines lol. I have done transmission suspension and wiring but I know crap about engines, gotta learn sometime I guess!

Ok so I did a compression check on it and I think I found the issue. From front to back ( don't know cylinder numbers) it is 100 - 100 - 110 - 108. So it seems the headgasket is screwed. I am not sure if that would explain why it is running so poorly though. If anyone has any ideas post em up I will post a video later on tomorrow of it running.
