Who doesn't sleep a lot here? I mean, not after clubbing or chilling out the whole night. Usually, when you have to go work or school and you stay awake the whole night doing nothing just because for you it's normal...not sleeping or sleep only for few hours...
Yes I do!

i sleep about 4-5 hours a night on my school/work days. and on the weekends i get about 6-7 hours of sleep. its enough for me to function a okay day. any less and i HAVE to try and nap somehow.

Well for me a school day is maximum 6 hours of sleep but when the weekend come by it's minimum 10 straight hours!

I cant, for the life of, me fall asleep 'till around midnight, and I have to wake up around 4:30~5 AM, what sucks is that I'll be groggy till around 8~9 am. But when the weekends come I sleep for like a whole day.

I usually dont fall asleep till around 2 am or so, then I'm up around 9:30-10 am. But because of finals this week, and making the mistake of waiting till the last minute to write my script...I now have been pulling all nighters.
Thankfully I tend to write better when its late. It's quiet in the house and nobody is around to bother me.
Speaking of which, I still have like 50 pages left to type before 6pm tomorrow. And my short film to still edit. Which is the reason I still have not cut together the ASB V video.

I tend not to sleep either till later in the night(on days I have to work), and get up every morning tired, but once I'm up and around I wake up quite fine. Weekends diff story. Work every other weekend so I normally see 3-4 hrs of sleep on those nights, and usually nap the afternoon away. My weekends off, I play catch up for all the missed sleep for the past 2 weeks haha.

i do the same thing, i idle time away at the end of the night until i realize i won't be able to get a full night's sleep.
i WAS having trouble staying asleep in the new house, it turns out it was the heater.... if you set the temp at 70, the thermostat lets the temp dip to like 65 before kicking on. then it goes up to like 75 before turning off. so i bought a space heater for my room and closed the vent. i sleep fine now.
then we got the gas bill. it's obscene. so we bought space heaters for the other bedroom and the living room. we're close to shutting down the gas heater altogether

i usually do a little bit off both, i try to balance my self out. I start working out 11 at night and mostly in there for a few hours and come home around 1 to 1:30 am. its nice having the gym to yourself (well mostly, except a few other people). other than that its studying for class or working on the car through the night if there is something to do to it, or just watching t.v. because i like watching others have fun, wishing i could be doing some stuff i watch. I like napping, taking power naps, it really freshens you up. I like to sleep when it comes time, dreaming is so sweet, its like another world where anything can happen.

im studying for finals too, just make sure not to "over study", I take alot of breaks to ease off the pressure and to give the brain a rest :), though whatever works for you, everyone is different. Procrastination works for me in a way because i tend to have a short term memory when it comes to school topics. If i do not find it interesting, then im not going care for it (memory wise).

seriously guys, about 4 years ago i decided that i was sick of getting shitty sleep on my crappy spring mattress. so i went out and bought one of these http://www.studioseventy.com/images/th-ss-tempur-pedic(r).jpg, king size. Best 2.5k i have ever spent.... ever. the first night you will realize that its the best investment you can ever make for yourself. Lifetime warranty. a good bed is something you will always need, so spring for the big one. you will not regret it.

i go to sleep anywhere between 2 and 6 in the morning and wake up on a daily basis between 8-9. so at most i can get maybe 7 hours, and at least around 2. i usually wake up with plenty of energy though. but every so often, roughly 2-3 weeks time, i have one day where i sleep like 12-14 hours. for me that was today...got a good 12 hours of sleep in. and now i feel sleepy. haha. just can't sleep. stay up all night watchin tv and on the internet. been this way for the last 7 years or so.

I've tried Melatonin. It worked when I was younger and not working. Now that I work and go to school it doesn't help me.
The constant temp I agree. If my room gets to hot I wake up and my next day is horrible. The upstairs thermostat is a fuckin demon in my house. So I've started to layer my bed for warmth.
On the noise, I agree if my fan isn't on high.. I ain't sleeping.
I think my reason is because of my schedule (finals week being worst) I dont have a certain set time for waking up or going to bed. It varies day to day and on weekends I crash and just sleep due to few hours of sleep during the week.

Insomnia runs in my family, so maybe 1 or 2 times a week, I get little to no sleep. It sucks. Especially having a job that requires alot of customer service, and working with dangerous equipment... Try using a cutoff wheel on a broken exhaust stud with 2 hours of sleep, or trying to read the tiny print on a socket when you cant read the fucking time on your watch.
But I've read that some people have a 36 hour biological clock as opposed to a 24 hour one, like most people. They did a study, with so many people in a completly sealed facility for 6 weeks, and some people fell into an awake for 24 hours and sleep for 12, as opposed to the others' 16-8 schedule. IDK, that might be it for me... It just doesnt feel rigth for me alot of the time to go to bed at 10 o'clock. I usually dont get tired until about 2 or 3.

on weekdays i never get more than 5 hours of sleep.... i used to sleep 10-12 hours straight on weekends but that fucks your sleep rythm up good. so i try and keep it on a constant 6-7 hours on the weekends.
the worse thing is, whenever i sleep longer than 8 hours or so i feel more tired than when i went to bed. i already got a new mattress but that didn't really help. and then theres the back pains and the morning breaths...ugh... i actually hate sleeping.

^ haha i get pretty good sleep on floors.. when I first do it, its uncomfortable, but after i slept on the floor for a few nights, i find it comfortable, sometimes even with no pillow.. I get pretty good rest on floors since forces your body straight, esp your back. Team it up with a room air purifier and im set =D .
I kinda fucked myself up a few years back when we thought it would be a good idea to swap out my full size bed for a fold out couch since i had a small room and it would save me space.. id be too lazy to pull it out sometimes and would just sleep on the couch..
Sleeping on the floor really helps my back.

Seriously, get good amounts of sleep. Getting proper rest is one of the best things you can do for your body.
I remember when I arrived at the Reception Battalion for BCT the first three days I got maybe 5 hours of sleep. I remember sleeping standing up. Damn micro sleep.
If there's one thing the military will do to ya, it's to appreciate sleep, and develop the ability to somehow function without it.
That having been said, my circadian rhythm is all jacked up. Whenever I have more than a day or two off, I find myself slipping into this 1-3 p.m. until 4-7 a.m. schedule.
idk about you but i enjoy sleep and try to get at least 7 hrs any more than 10 and i feel like i wasted my day.\

:Owned: hahahahahah!!!!!!
I used to have insomnia but now I sleep for 3-4 hours a night. I'm up at 4:30 most mornings to go to work. Then I go and work at my shop 'til 9 or 10 at night then I go home to do laundry or whatever til 12 or 1 am. Weekends get even worse 'cuz of track events. Operating on 30 min. to 2 hours sleep on average per weekend day is pretty normal for me. :eek3:
Weekend before last I had a total of 22 minutes sleep in the two days prior to driving the GripDay Time Attack at Streets of Willow! :eek3d: Still ended up putting down a decent time. 1:35:38 with an N/A s13 on street tires :D (don't try this at home kids).
Sounds like most of you get plenty of sleep to me.

it's gonna be a long night xD

I find it impossible to fall asleep before 3-5am unless ive pulled an all nighter. I usually get up for work at 10am, get there at 12p, then work to 11pm, sometimes 8-9 hours straight with only an hourly cig break. I usually get 5-6 hours max of sleep before work because I simply do not feel like sleeping until them.
Then on my days off ill clear 10-12 hours easy, wake up, and still want to sleep more, but I can't, because like many others I'll feel like a lazy ass.
Snowboarding days are the worst for me. We usually leave for Big Bear around 5am, which means zero sleep for me. Usually the anticipation and normal sleep time (4-5am) leave me sleepless for a whole day of snowboarding, which I usually handle pretty well. After days like that I'm out at 9-10p and I can easily sleep 12+ hours.
I love sleep though. I could easily sleep 20 hours if I had nothing better to do. I just can't fall asleep sooner. I love the night.

oh i know, i cant fall asleep worth a shit. but when i do man, you better not wake me up. i love my sleep. but i cant seem to drag my self to bed before midnight unless im dead tired from work and usually dont fall asleep till 1. but on saturday nights/sunday mornings i go to sleep between 1-3, sometimes 4 and i wont wake up until 1-3pm. so i usually get 12+ hours of sleep on sundays and ~ 5-7 during the week.

I normally get about 4-5 hours of sleep, go to bed at like 2-3am wake up at 7am.
I see that it kinda builds up over time, like i can do it for a week or two but then the following week i end up falling asleep on the couch after work.
Like today,i fell asleep at 6:30pm and I woke up at 2am and now I cant sleep. I have work in a few hours, I donno if im gonna try to sleep or just stay up.
