KA24DE 95 obd2 ecu into a 96?

I was wondering if a 1995 obd2 ecu would work in a 1996? My car died on me and I think it's the ecu and all I can find is a 1995. I would rather buy it if it will work instead of spending 500 on a refurbished one.

Plug it right in. You'll get some codes since the ECU is looking for inputs it doesn't have as well as receiving inputs it can't read, but it will run/drive fine. You can also use a 97-98 if you repin three wires. JWT has a PDF file on the wires needed to move around.

Oh, and 95 is OBD-I. They all are. We've been over this.
