<br>If we came up with a list of our top "Best Day EVER" scenarios, we're pretty sure a straight-line race between the Corvette ZR1, Ferrari 599 GTB, Nissan GT-R and the Porsche 911 GT2 would be close to the top of our list. The scribes at Motor Trend were able to live that dream, but they threw us a bone by recording the supercar showdown for the world to see. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/03/video-drag-race-between-zr1-599-gt-r-and-gt2/">Follow the jump</a> to see the 638-hp ZR1 take on some of the best street metal from Italy, Germany, and Japan. its funny that they pitted it against cars that way outclassed it. zr1 has 200 more hp of course its gonna take the gt-r...lol.

gt-r was made to stand up to the 911 turbo and the z06. not the souped up versions of these cars. maybe if motor trend tested it against those cars results would be different.

Mmmm... tasty. I love that porsche. When I went and bought my bmw there was one in the showroom. ALong with an 05 M3 in Laguna Seca blue.

The GTR held up pretty well considering the caliber of cars it was against.

The V-Spec would have put up a better fight. I don't think this test is at all telling of the true nature of these cars.

None of these cars are really built for drag races. None of them. Second, I doubt that the vette is anywhere near as civilized on the Autobahn (what the Ferrari and Porche were designed to drive on). The GT-R was just outclassed in all fascits. I mean it is the "base" model GT-R up against not just the Z06, but the freakin stripped down suped up version of the Z06. So again, not a fair race.

Run it again, this time put a regular ass 2007 vette out there. Thats pretty much what they did to Nissan.

My question is, where's the Viper ACR? It's in the same class exactly as the ZR1, same price range too.

lol people love the gtr for some reason, it once again is proven that it is still at the end of the day a nissan. The zr1 was a surprise win imo though.

i think chevy is trying to make up for all the shitty corvettes(mostly C3's) they have made over the years...And they are doing a good job IMO.
