If you have a air leak in between the MAF and the turbo what would that cause?????

it would cause a lean condition. you're taking in more air than measured.

Soo I been having this common bogging popping sputtering problem with my ride...

and I been tracking down EVERYTHING I could take in from the 1 million Threads posted for it. And I think I finaly found the problem in my intake pipe.

So I was just wondering what the car would run like with leaks in that pipe :coolugh:

Actually its the opposite. Itll cost a rich condition. Anytime you have a leak after the MAF, doesnt matter if its before or after the turbo, car will run rich. The ECU reads how much metered air is coming in from the MAF. ECU will then decide how much fuel to add in. If you have a leak, some of that metered air is lost, so you end up having more fuel in the combustion chamber than you really need. Causes the car to run rich.

Anyways back to the OP, if you still have the rubber turbo neck, pop it off. You'd be suprised how many holes that damn thing got that you missed to plugged in, thats before counting the cracks that could have developed on it. Thats why the rubber intake neck is one of the better upgrades for the SR, plus its restrictive as hell.

If that doesnt help, then pressurize your IC system, could have a leak somewhere too. Also, wouldnt hurt to double check your timing.
