help please my car its leaking

i went under my car today just to look and i noticed its leaking but fucking droping a lot it looks like dark water but also seems like oil ,i checked and there was something on the side of the oil pan (water pump maybe) that was cover in oil .u think my water pump got ruined or what could it be

check water pump, hoses, radiator, etc its definately coolant and it sounds like yours needs to be changed

make sure if its leaking water or oil

your waterpump seals might have gone bad, thus leaking through the weep hole.

oil pan is on the bottom.
water pump is on the front.

take pictures.

im guessing its your PS hose, which goes bad all the time on old 240's

This is a picture of an s14 KA and i doubt he has an s14. The s13 water pump is the little bubble things beside the headlights. We call it halogen fluid not water or antifreeze DUH

what color is it? find out where it's coming from get underneath your car with a flashlight and wait

sometimes something leaking runs down some other objects before it drops if you have a lot of grime down their chances are it could get some oil or other debris in it

it will be on the driver side of the engine: check the three hoses for holes or cracks and both connections

you still have to make sure what is leaking, which manifold did you say is it leaking under from? it could be some coolant lines running below the intake, or it could be your freeze plugs cracking under pressure.

I started when i was 12 by rebuilding my go cart engine... Thats when i learned motor oil is usually black.

look dude if you want to know if its your water pump this is what you do. let your car sit until its cold start it up if nothing leaks let it warm up once the thermostat opens your water pump starts working so if starts leaking once the car warms up a little then you know your water pump is bad. it could just be a gasket but its always better just to change the whole part it is not hard it took me 30 mins good luck tho man. You also do not need to worry about flaming there is no rep anymore so no red bars for you. good luck P.M. me if you need any help =]

which hose/hoses are leaking?

high pressure hose = replace with a stainless steel line for cheaper and more reliable

other two hoses = replace with generic hose can be at most auto part stores

If something is covered in oil, and steering sucks, chances are its your power steering pump, or hose, or something else related. Or your car could be leaking oil, and your power steering sucks on an unrelated note.
