i was driving on the freeway and as soon a came to an exit, i slow down and the engine started shaking like WTF? i pulled to the nearest gas station to check whats wrong. i pulled each spark plugs and discovered oil surrounding one of them. Not so much but there was oil on its thread. am i going to need a head engine repair? or just a gasket replacement? thanks!

Gasket. Its leaking at the spark plug tubes. Replaced it, clean the spark plug tubes (spray the tubes out with brake cleaner after removing the plugs) and clean the wires. install everything again and see how it runs.

i used to have the same problem. turned out that the vent tube on the valve cover was just loose.

thanks to your input guys.. i was told that since the threads of the plugs are oiled up it maybe from the bottom head.

take off the vent tube from the valve cover and look to see if there is oil in it. if there is you might have a stuck pcv vavle. that could also cause oil on the threads.
