I've posted several posts and one thread about my low oil pressure. I think I may have found the problem. I just wanted to know if this dent is big enough to lower my oil pressure. The rb's pan is much deeper looking than an sr. But I don't know how far down the oil sump goes into it. You can see how long it is from the picture and I think it's about 1/2 inch to an inch deep. :ugh: http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l129/solidus311/Picture013.jpg

Yeah sure beats the 125-150 for a new one. I was just trying to see if that could be the problem. I just changed the oil to see if that would help the pressure. :-/

Could I just drain the oil into something and reuse it? I changed the oil like 10 miles ago.

if you take the pan off you will see that the oil pickup sits less than a half an inch or so to the bottom of the pan. imagine a straw in a cup. now push that straw all the way flush to the bottom. its doesnt want to work right! you can take a mallet to your pan and try and bang it out but if you crack it your kind of screwed either way. one thing I would not be doing right now if I was you is starting/driving your car at all! think about it....NO OIL = NO MOTOR! good luck with it man.

Yeah thanks for the info. I'm lucky enough to have a daily driver too. I have not been driving the car at all.

use a 2x4 with a rubber mallet that way you don't stretch/ weaken the pan. Also hammer it against a piece of wood so that you don't scratch it. That will be your best bet to get it looking right again.
