Will a SR20 from any year (long or notch top) bolt up to an Automatic KA trans?

Planning on 5-spd swap eventually, but now need the project car (S14) to be the daily. Need it running NOW and wanted to know if this option was viable..

There isn't much difference between sr/ka trannys. So yea I think it's possible.

Just like an manual, swap the bellhousing. It's easier on an auto since you're not opening the case and draining fluid. Otherwise it's the same transmission as the KA and the Z32 NA.
