Hey guys, I'm new to the sr motor... I just finished swapping in an s13 blacktop motor into my 90 240sx. I haven't been able to start the car. The motor turns over, we have fuel and spark, but can't get it to run. I was hoping someone could clue me into how to check ignition timing... I'm not used to this ignition setup. If anyone could point me in a good direction I'd appreciate it. BTW, the car is has the walboro 255, a z32 fuel filter, using the sohc maf, bb t28, fmic and I think that's all thats it. Thanks again.

for checking the timing there is a little black wire loop on the the back of the coil pack harness after the #4 cylinder thats you can clip the timing light sensor too.

I hope your not planning on running alot of boost on that T-28 with stock 370cc injectors.

I was told that with the exhaust and fmic, that the stock wg would keep me around 11#'s and I would be all good... I trusted the guy that's been walking me through this... does that sound right to you all? Also, thanks for helping me out with that... I think I read that somewhere but I didn't make since to me at the time.

did u make sure the wires are right? if those are right reset the timing and re insert the CAS. you have to play withg the CAS when someone is cranking the motor move it slowly up and down and adjust as needed when car is idleing.

I would start at the crank angle sensor.. Adjust it.. It could be fully retarded.. then work ur way from there.
