Hesitating during light throttle

I run a ca18det in my 180sx. I am trying to figure out what is going on with my engine while I am about 10% on the throttle. I just got the cylinder head resurfaced, metal head gasket, 3-angle valve job, added a z32 fuel filter... The car has been running very well since all of this work. It still runs just fine under hard acceleration- it is only hesitating when I am feathering the throttle (i.e. slow speeds in 1st or 2nd- around 3-4k RPMS).

I know this problem could possibly be a lot of things, but I do not know where to start looking in order to diagnose exactly what it is.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

whats your base timing

Was having a similar problem. had to adjust the tps.
