Have you tried to close it while actually helping it close? It could be the motors fried or the tracks are dirty as hell.

I thought they only came with a latch type thing.
I have the same yeah only hatch, and i've never seen one that's motorized.

i clean up the tracks and the motor couldnt be fried man cause when i hit the switch to close it was clicking and yes i tried closing it at the same time just wont go so what you think? you think i should disassemble the whole damn thing?

somebody may have installed it
i dunno if they came with them or not
anyway
theres 2 types of sunroof actuation:
like a door window with a gear arm
or with a cable type
if its gear arm type, its plastic and the teeth are sheared off
if its cable type the cable is broken

hmm
maybe if you take off the plastic cover where the buttons are, there should be some sort of manual override?
check it meng
most power sunroofs have this feature

like something you can put a screwdriver in or a allen key and turn it to close it manually
most cars with power sunroofs have them so that if your battery goes dead or some shit you can still close the sunroof

btw, on s13's there were 2 style sunroofs...
the coupes got motorized automagic ones
hatches got the manual pop up ones.
back to the topic, i just checked the FSM, and they have no mention of a manual over ride, so ionno if there is one or not. They do have like 3 relays listed for it, maybe one is fried? have you tried just connecting a 12v power source directly to the motor? the only other idea i would have is to remove the motor, and then manually move the sunroof as there should be no resistance now ? good luck!

nono look at the rear of the motor where the shaft is
theres a gold nut on the end of it
should be able to manually close with that

hes got power the motor works
removing the motor doesnt remove the actuating device which would physically hold the sunroof in place
just ssssshush

well, considering you didn't even know s13s came with motorized sunroofs...
anyways, I figure if you remove the motor, then the resistance to push it back in place should be relieved (if it is the motor getting it stuck). however, looking at the wiring diagram for it, it could be the LIMIT SWITCH (SAFETY) that is malfunctioning, or one of the 3 relays (open, close, safety).
