ok so I have a new queston, I am pretty confused. So I have been quecking part numbers and the shop put an after market engine coolant temp sensor in my car in place of an oem one. So when I read about the sensors it said to use 22630-V5010 or 22630-51E00 and not 22630-51E02. However, these numbers alll cross reference to same after market part (WT5000) could this be the problem.(stalling car) Any answer please I am so lost.

stalling when randomly?
what year what motor?
a new coolant sensor is dirt cheap and dumb easy to install.
and for a car to run all you really need is air, spark, and fuel
make sure all those are available and steady.

i thought i read somewhere that the KA24DE cts is the same. im not 100%

EDIT: whatever year/chassis motor your SR20DET is from, a Coolant Temp Sensor from a KA24DE of the same year/chassis will work.

91-95 KA CTSs are all the same, two pin red plug. 96-98s use a different connector and it's blue, but the resistance is still the same.

Best way to check for a bad CTS is to wait until it reaches temp, then unplug it and drive. The car should go into open loop.

yah, I have been able to drive it when the sensor is unplugged but when it is plugged in it stalls out. I have checked a lot of things and I thought maybe the fact that the shop used an aftermarket part could have been the problem.
