i just finished my s14 sr into s14 swap. when the car heats up a little while driving it start to leak coolant, alot, from the rear of the car from the evap canister area. then stops then does it again. is there a way to plug it or fix it somehow? i dont know wtf my coolant is doing back there????
rear of the car? Or rear of the motor? if its the rear of the motor its heater hose but i dunno, just track it down if you can.

no rear of the car!? why the hell would coolant go back there? if it matters i dont have the coolant lines that are under the throttle body connected. what other lines besides the heater and radiator hoses have coolant in it?

by the way where does the other coolant hose under the throttle body connect too. i know theres one that goes into the throttle, so where does the other one go?

Yay for leaking heater hoses. Time to get under your car and have some fun.
start your car and look around for the leak? maybe that would solve your problem. coolant lines are under your intake manifold.

Umm, you sure it's not from the condensation from your AC dripping down?

grab the fsm they show where the coolant lines go. The line on the throttle body goes underneath the intake manifold. If they are not plugged in are they plugged up? Coolant is going to leak from there, thus explaining why you are losing coolant and overheating.

I dunno about S14 SRs, but on S13 ones theres a short section of thin 3/8"? hose behind the cylinder head, and it connects the coolant manifold to the turbo's hard line. At first i couldn't find the leak, then i thought it was a heater hose, and then i finally found the phantom leak to be comming from that stupid rubber section.
It caused coolant to drip on the bell housing, and formed a puddle at the rear of the engine. Its a really stupid location for a rubber hose because the head is so close to the firewall.
If you have a coolant leak at the back of the car, you may want to have a talk with the person you bought it from. You may have purchased an MR2 - a common mistake.
s13eye, on the s14 sr20det, the coolant line is off the front coolant neck.
the OP mention not having the lines to the throttle body, so there's his leak. he left something open.

Did you hook up your evap system to the coolant nipple on the TB?
