Hello all. I have recently been buttoning up the last few things on my ca build into my s13 coupe. Just a few pointers that I didnt see were posted in this thread. I have just replaced the head gasket and had a rough time getting my header back on because Im running an s15 bb turbo. The reason being was because im running the stock ka motor mounts and the turbo is super close to the mount. I dont see it affecting anything but I do plan on getting different mounts. If anyone has suggestions on which mounts i should get that would be great!

Has anyone made any time of bracket to use a ka a/c compressor? single or dual cam.
Also, has anyone ran a water to air set up on their CA? I live in Texas and its getting into the triple digits already and a fmic would be pointless for my daily as it would block my radiator and A/C condensor. I know this thread is old but I don't want to create a new one and everyone tell me to search, because I have already. |

I forgot to mention, i have tubbed wheel wells. I was going to go with a high mount from pbm but i would not be able to mount my ac condensor. So back to the question on water to air. Anyone?

you need a flywheel, clutch, clutch line, clutch pedal, and maybe a remap (i know auto ECUs has special circuitry for kickdown and it may run degraded mode when it does not detect it.
My advice, either stick with the autobox (which is quite good actually) or get a manual S13. It will be cheaper than swapping a manual and hassle free. |

So glad that there is still a ca18det forum section!
New to 240sx and ca18dets, what would you guys say are almost *necessary* pre-install maintenance I should do. I bought the engine as a *running* engine, just want this to be a pretty reliable DD, boost will be kept at 10psi on stock turbo. Also if anyone has a ca18det power steering pump hit me up ASAP. I have cash in hand. |

Question about running a SRt25g (s13 T25) on the CA18det...
For oil return lines, will I need a SR or CA return line? I've searched and searched but cant seem to find the answer. ALthought the turbo placement is simliar, I'd like to have everything installed first. I have already clocked the compressor housing and tapped the outlet pipe for the wastegate source.

I assume I can only rebuild me ca alternator. Any answers and help would be appreciatted. I am currently stranded in Calgary while i try and source parts. Luckly i have friends in town who took me in. Cheers |

ca18det lightweight crank pulley vs. stock
Hey everyone! I am new to the forum and have searched high and low for some answers on the possible issues with using a lightweight crankshaft pulley on my ca18det. I have seen mixed reviews on the subject of putting the lightweight pulley on. Some say it is bad since the stock is harmonic. I havent read anything saying that once it was own the person had issues but a lot of people have advised against it. If anyone has a solid answer let me know. I greatly appreciate it.

I believe 2 companies make a good crank pulley, with harmonic balancer and all. Cant remember the name on top of my head though, 1 is australian. This is going to cost quite some money anyway so i suggest you dont get one, unless your stock pulley is broken. |

Yeah my pockets aren't that deep haha. I may call raw brokerage and see if they have an oem one laying around. I think I may have found one. I could go through Nissan motor sports and get my dealer discount but they only stock Sr and rb parts. Can't wait 8 weeks for one from Japan. My stock one is bent so it's no good.

KA24DE clutch and pressure plate work you just have to drill out a hole for the dowel pin and use a 7/16 drill bit to enlarge the mount holes along the outside and it will work fine.
