Picked up an HTC One X over the weekend. It was a hard decision between that and the GS3, but upon discovering HTC dropped the One X's price to $100 (with contract), I had to bite on that.
The camera is the deal-maker for this phone. And the fact that I can get it in black. DO NOT like the "switch apps" button. Seems useless to me and makes me miss the "menu" button. Rooting can fix that, and I will root. Yes.

So I bought the Droid Bionic last October. First internet phone, and 10 months later I only use it for calls, texts, checking weather every now and then, some email and Facebook.
I havent download an app since the first week I bought it. Is there a website, or blog, or something that gives good suggestions on quality apps and how to use them effectively in everyday life? I feel like this phone could do so much more than I allow it to, but the app store is not really friendly with searching for apps that I dont know I need or dont realize exist. You get me?

Trying to figure out what phone I want next. I'm due for an upgrade and I really like the Samsung Galaxy S3 or the Iphone 4s. I just hate how huge the S3 is. Any other Android phone that competes with the Iphone?

im going from att to verizon in a month or so. Gpoing to go with the Samsung S3 i had a chance to mes with ont and i honestly dont think verizon has any other phone i like. Kinda shitty im up for my upgrade on att and wanted the Samsung Note having. Going from HTC phone for the last 4 years to a Samsung is going to be a change.
If anyone knows of a phone that is better than the S3 please le me know.

s3 is overkill with current market offerings anyways. s2/note and other "last year" phones ar ejust as good in real world use other than the screen resolution.

If anyone needs a app to play streams try Serve Stream. Its super light weight and not bloated. It does various types of streams (local LAN/Internet), I'm using it to play about 25 different radio stations worldwide that where broadcasting with a shoutcast server. Just plug the URL of your favorite stream and enjoy!

Looking at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). The Nexus 7 lost my interest because of the lack of SD port. Any other 7" tablets I should be looking at?

Looking for input.
My contract with AT&T has been up for a few months and I'm just not feeling the iPhone 5. With the exploding screen sizes of rival android phones I had really hoped it would be - "slightly" larger and instead it's only "technically" larger. I don't really care about Siri or Apps - so I guess that all mute. I'm right now looking at the Galaxy S3 - which is "slightly" larger then the iPhone, but I was unimpressed with the brightness and picture. I also fear that in 3 months it will be "free with new Verizon plan" and my ~$150 phone won't be worth a damn - hell the S4 is due out in April. My iPhone 4 is at least worth $150-200, which is what I originally paid for it two years ago. Then I saw the Note II - JESUS H CHRIST. I love the screen. Even though it's technically not as finite as the GS3, it looks better side by side. It's just so awesome having so much visual real-estate. With my usage being 35% Music, 60% Internet and 5% talk, I'm not to worried about apps and how chunky it is to talk on. What i do fear is how hard it will be to use one-handed. I've only recently become aware of how much one-handed surfing I do on my iPhone. With the phones at AT&T and Bestbuy being strapped down, it's hard to get a feel for what it would be like on the Note 2. So before I jump ship - a few quick Android questions - 1. I'm told iPhone 5's can use LTE/4G on all networks while Android is locked to the parent network only - if your out of town, you are on 3G. 2. Does AT&T have a legit "30 day return" policy, so that if in 5 days I find I hate the Note 2 I can trade it back for a GS3 or iPhone 5 3. Text HIstory and Contacts, is this transferable from iPhone to Android 4. Can I expect a Note 2 to be worth anything in two years? 5. Music, do Android phones sync to USB Car Stereos the same way? I run Pioneer heads, 3 variants (two are Scions units). Can I get Mini-USB - RCA cords? Are there adaptors to run this thing on a iPhone dock stereo? Thanks |

The Note 2 is awesome. Battery life is more than double that of my last phone (Sprint Evo 4G). I was able to get used to the size of it quickly, but it is slippery and awkward to hold when using it as an actual phone.
I would doubt that you will be able to sell the Note for what an iphone goes for 2 years down the road. Apple just has such a cult following and people are willing to pay what I would consider an unreasonable amount for them. |

Picked up the Note 2. Fantastic!!!
The customisation s are a little overwhelming at first but over all its a wicked phone. I'm pissed however because it charges off my pioneer but won't play music! ! I'll have to do some research. |

Note 3 coming soon... 2013
Why can't I find pictures of anyone holding it to their face to use it as a phone. I felt like a two year old playing with a toy phone at the store. Seems like you would need a Bluetooth headset with it.
