What Spark Plugs are you guys running with what modifications and boost ? Also why did you choose that particular spark plug ?

I'm currently running the OEM NGK BRK7 running 18psi on a GT2871r, however a friend of mines on the stock s14 sr switched to Iridiums and liked them. Any input as to which to use ?

I'm running the NGK Iridium BKR6EIX on a stock S13 SR20. I was only shooting for a completely stock low boost setup though.

So heat range 6 right ? Did you see any difference between the OEM and Iridiums ?

i like the bkr7e-11

they dont last long, but at $1.50 a piece, and 2 minutes each to change, it's worth it IMO.

Heat range 8 iridiums are great and will suffice to 20 psi on pump gas

Have you had pretty good results with these Steve? I wanted to but the price sucks and running richer than stock conditions I didn't know how long they'd last compared to the copper brk7e's.

Get a wideband and a decent EMS - then run heat range 8

I can only imagine how much HP you are missing out on if you are afraid of fouling plugs + it's not good for the engines.

I don't understand this philosophy that has been pushed on people (it's not your fault) that you buy big injectors before you buy a proper EMS.

I have had great results, such as cars I have tuned running low 11s on pump gas - my own car lasting over 2.5 years now on stock bottom end and nearly 500 crank HP and more -

I highly suggest them for HP over 350 whp and pressure over 20 psi on SR motors

Don't get me wrong, I street tune with an LM-1 first to save money on the dyno and pay out the ass for dyno time. I put money and time where it counts, I don't trailer my car to events. I'm running an AEM for the last year and I'm really looking into e85 next year. Last year I was at 300whp/280tq on the vf30 @17psi maxing my 50lbers with conservative timing on 93. Oh, stock head, cams, and intake mani too.

I replace my plugs more often then not just because I'm anal, not because they actually fail (and they're cheap). I just wanted your opinion on them, good or bad, that's all.

I've been running a NGK BCPR7ES, tuned, stock turbo 13 psi. They don't do bad, I'm going to try an 8 heat range next.
