So, I'm looking at buying a set of racing seats (along with harnesses, and a harness bar), and I'm looking for recommendations!
Or, just post your review on the seats you have, even if it's not good for me, it may be good for someone else.
Things to consider (for me):
- I'm a smaller driver. I need a seat that's either designed for a smaller driver, or isn't that wide to begin with.
- Must be reclinable. Stock seats were designed to lay down in the event of an accident, and because I am *not* looking at cages (only harness bars), well...
- Holes for the harness. I checked out NRG's (first) Type R style seat, and what concerns me is that the holes for the harness connect with another hole-type thing... Its weird to explain, but in the event of an accident, I need a seat that ensures my harnesses are going to stay where they are.
- Padding around the legs. I need padding that sits high, because I'm really sick of coming home with bruises on my from high g turns.
- Cost. Not so much an issue, because I'm prepared to pay money for a worthy product. But that's just it--I'm not going to pay 1 billion dollars for a name brand seat if nobody can tell me anything good about them...
I've been doing some research, and I think reviews are more helpful than anything.... any advise is greatly appreciated.
