Will this Gauge work for fuel level?

I need to know if this Autometer gauge will work with my s13 stock fuel sender. I guess i already know it will work but i am wondering how far off it will read given the ohms aren't matched up perfect.

Gauge I have (3315) Autometer fuel level
(73 ohms = empty / 8-12 ohms full)

240sx fuel sender ohm's
(about 80 ohms = empty / about 5 ohms = full)

I know I can get the full sweep version of the autometer gauge that I can set the ohms but if this gauge will be close ill stick with it. Also I want to stick with autometer so it will match my other gauges.

Any help is appreciated

thanks,
Zac

My guess would be that it will WORK but may not look all the way full when it actually is, and it will probably look empty a little before it actually is.

You probably arnt wanting MY GUESS, but if that is the closest range offered that matches your others you might just stick with it.

Someone smart with electronics could probably tell you some stuff you could get from radio shack to shift it back into normal operating resistance.

Thanks for your input.

There is another autometer model that goes from 0 to 90 ohms but the full and empty ohms are reverse of what the 240sx is. So when full it would be on "E" and as the fuel drops it would move towards full.
Anyone know if I can flip the the ohm readings on the gauge?
