to much. i bought a 92 coupe silvia face black top sr20 for 4k and it had allot more then this car.. just because you dont live in cali dont mean this car should be so high. this car is worth tops of 5k. there are allot of miles on the car . but low miles on the motor. make sure you test drive the car. put your foot in it a lil.
make sure he can prove what he has in this car. receipts do most of the talking with parts.

low ball the shit out of him then work your way up.. i would start off with 3500 or 4000 . just go from there.

First thing I look for is no sunroof no spoiler. Check.

I prefer single cam for simplicity. If you're doing an SR swap, a twin cam shell is going to have most of the stuff you need. Less work than a single cam. Check.

Do a CarFax. It the title is fuct, walk away. You can never fix the title.

Overall all the stuff sound ok, but a lot depends on the workmanship. It looks like the guy did it in his garage so I don't know what his quality is going to be like.

The tint is going to be illegal. You need to go 50 front 35 rear or get a medical waiver and go 35 all around.

My pet peeve is cracked windshield. He could have easily patched the hole when it was small, but he let it spread. This shows that he doesn't care. It doesn't cost too much.

Otherwise I would have to see the car in person to see how it runs.

I would recommend getting a shop to look at the car and see how much it would cost to fix everything that's fuct. I'm not local so I don't know which shops to recommend you.

Wow they really need to regulate bumps on for sale threads. I just saw the more recent pictures and it honestly looks mediocre. How did he shatter the quarter panel? Lol

when i bought my car i took my dad with me. i gave my dad a extra 1000 and put 4000 in my pocket. when the guy started to raise the price i made him feal bad for having me ask my dad for money to buy it. trust me i have sold cars for a while and you got to finagle the guy. everyone selling there car wants to get what they have into it back, but thats a no go. no car is really worth what you got into it. i have droped a extra 3000 into the coupe i bough and i might be able to sell it for 1000 over what i bought it for.

also everyone thinks because they have a 240 and there a mainstream car now that there worth more. but no

this is what the car books at without the motor

add 2000 - 2500 for the sr20 and parts. red tops are only 1400 or less for a full motor set.

Dude, the car was clean in the first pics but it looks like it hasn't been very well loved since then. Newport News is ghetto but thats not a good reason to buy a beat up car.
in its present condition (based on pics) i wouldn't spend more then $3500. the shell is worth about 1800-2000 and a good SR would run you 1500-1750.
i'm from VA and you can def find clean 240's (ka & sr) for a reasonable price. hold on to your cash and find a nice one. if you have 6k then find a really clean shell and do the swap yourself (or pay a good shop to do it). you can make that $$ go a lot futher then that beat 240 with a stock SR.

i would offer in the $3500-4k range. the paint is very clean in the first pix, but the car looks kinda rough in the later pix. sure as hell not worth $5k+

it looks clean in the first pics.the paint look old and not that taken care of in the other pics. not worth 6k , offer 3.5-4k like every ones said. thats about what its worth. make sure you test drive it first and get into it to make sure theres no high speed problems. check for any leaks, rust, strang noises, etc. its not hard to find s13's in VA. i find them all the time just dont have the money to buy another one right now. haha you should bought mine when i had it for sale for 3k but im keeping it now.

most uf us bought our cars back when s13's were a dime a dozen. ive deffinatly noticed an increase in price the last two years. I personally dont get why the prices are going up. yeah he does have a good amount of stuff on the car but hes really trying to get what he put in it back (not guna happen). i mean back when i bought my s13 i paid like $300 for it with an auto sohc, now its a 5 speed dohc with j30 diff allum driveshaft and lowered on tein springs and kyb gr-2s and i havent even put 1k in the car. so that like $1300 i spent. but since the prices have gone up i feel i could get $2000 or even more maybe. i dont know its crazy. just tell him that you've been doing research on parts and other cars similar to his and you can offer him 4k for it giving the condtion its in (1/4 glass, windshield, etc.)
