5 speed swap driveshaft question

I have an OBD1 95 s14 that I just put an s13 5 speed trans in. my problem is the s14 manual driveshaft I have is too long and binds up so it cannot be bolted in. Can I swap the diff to an s13 with s14 cover and have that solve my problem?

The transmissions are identical, make sure you're slipping the driveshaft all the way into the transmission.

Abs diff and not an abs shaft? Rear part is different lengths for the 2 piece, about a 3/4" difference.
