Alt.Tensioner doesn't line up

Sup Zilvia. I was putting in my alt. tensioner and I found out that the bolt does not line up w/ the female side of the tensioner. Why is this??? I've never heard of anything like this. The bolt sits about a little more/less than half an inch lower than the female side of the tensioner. What could it be??? I need this car out by atmost 9:30 cuz I am going out of town. Thanks guys please help.
