how should i tune / boost problem
I'm wondering what's my best option , so right now im using stock ecu and no shops around me ( STL , MO ) say they can tune my stock ecu wich I had tuned by a shop in FL but its not good , wondering if I should go with an SAFC II and get it tuned or should I pay the big bucks to get a jwt ECU and some top feed injectors (555) pre tuned by them, anyone got any other subjections ? id rather not spend 1000 but if I have to for reliable power I will
Build: Ka24det .25 bore, port & polished heads , stock mani , SR injectors , 18g Godspeed turbo, z32 maf, walbro 255 pump, diamond pistons, arp studs another question I have is that im having a problem with boost its set on 9 lbs with manual boost control but I cant seem to get it to get past 6 lbs? I used to go to 9lbs until I got it back from the guy who built it ( fans stopped while idealing in parking spot and I noticed when it should rad fluid out of overflow) it hasn't gone past 6 lbs since ... iv tried removing the manual boost control , still no luck only 6lbs tried adjusting actuator but its not adjustable also tried tightening my external BOV no dice so if you got any advise PLEASE HELP ! THank you |

nistune, aem, JWT... i recommend against SAFC since it does not tune timing. and yea, if you drive the car make sure you don't boost. I recommend you dont drive until you get a good tune

well I drove it back and forth from work for like 2 weeks. the AFR's are perfect at all times only issue is the boost and it after letting off the throttle and ingugeing the clutch it will bog down to around 300rps or die if I do decent pull its running perfect Ill be driving my fox till I get it tuned now though. FML hope I didn't fuck my self ..

If your mass airflow sensor is on the turbo inlet you're going to bog down and die off throttle anyway, because when you let off the throttle the BOV lets out metered air. So you're essentially dumping out air the engine already accounted for.
