s14 What have you found rigged on your 240

So far i've found the clutch pedal held together with a allen socket and nut hammered on,plenty of wires tied together then tape thrown on, like twenty clamp on splices, ghetto hid's which i removed when i went kouki, super glued shift boot, welded over two holes that hold the fender on and terrible welding of course.Hmmmm oh when i first got the car the battery was just chillen in the trunk without tie down and almost destroyed the car. felt the need to share my day haha

Goodlord, I may have nightmares. What a mess.

I found that the 12V source for my electric fans was the cigarette lighter on the console.

both fenders were welded on, exhaust was horridly welded, fell off a day later.

lawn mower battery, with ghetto rigged jump start terminals in the fuse box

motor mount was a normal mount with a metal piece in between both sides welded together

its all great now though.

Rusty ass antennae base/mount bolted to the hatch/trunk with a thick ass cable running to the deck location. I can only assume it was for mobile TV which apparently is very common in Japan.

Uber JDM tyte road flare holder thing underneath the glove box.

Daytime running lights are wired to the engine ground fuse (works great thou lol).

89 all original 5spd Coupe SOHC

Well I found a jumper wire with a ground on the MAF. It was factory looking.

I actually removed it and the car starting running crappy....so I put it back on...

Then I found they professionaly wired in a Voltage Regulator??? Why I dont know....The Alternator read fine....So I disconnected it....and once again the car ran crappy...so I put it back....

Old saying "If it works dont fix it"

Extra ground on the MAF is actually a service tip from nissan. Apparently nissan sucks at wiring, go figure.

Not a 240, an hcr32, so basically a glorified s chassis. Front bumper was held on by zipties, discovered the car was an auto before being converted to a 5 speed at some point in its life, lose wires everywhere that I had to clean up. Also discovered various bolts that were to short for their intended application while poking around underneath it.

Ahh, the joys of DIY Japanese mechanics

Dude. Same shit.

I've got the after pic, but it's got a middle finger in it

I've got all kinds of shit... Taillight ground is speaker wire, it works just looks super tacky.

Auto to manual was done terribly, wtf is solder and heat shrink amirite? No reverse lights... uh, top has 1 bolt on one side...
Someone sprayed the interior with this sticky black paint shit and didnt remove the sound deadening. FML...

The bracket that holds the middle section of the driveshaft up and from moving to much got ripped out so it's now welded in place.
