truth or bs?
i went to get a RB exedy clutch for a friends swap yesterday and i was told a story that sounded so crazy that it just might be true. the owner of the clutchwe went for told us that apparently Mckinney RB mounts are shit and that they are unsafe? He told us a story of the mounts breaking and an S14 being shot into the air frontwards onto its roof because of failed mounts and the engine stopping the car dead in its tracks? i searched n searched and found nothing to support this tale. just fuel for thought. im sorry but i wasnt fooled. I thought if anything the engine would be stopped by the crossmember and or tranny mount?

That musta been one awesome acid trip flashback that guy had...
When motor mounts fail the motor doesn't hit the ground it just moves around a lot when your starting it, revving it or shifting it. |

unless this guy was scraping his crossmember on the ground before the mounts failed, the oil pan wouldn't even hit the ground. To asnwer your question...BS

All I have seen is the urethane isolators shift or collapse with the Mck stuff.
We designed our RB and JZ Mount kit to use S Chassis Mounts with the stock subframe. They are compatible with OE, Nismo, Megan, and other aftermarket S Chassis Motor Mounts.
