Thanks man.
I actually listed greg for sale today, the price is outrageous but it wouldn't surprise me if it sells in Wisconsins market. We'll see. the car is fun but cash to invest in the white car is nice too. |

Greg ended up selling within 24 hours of listing it. Kinda figured it would happen.
Well on the plus side got some money in the bank. I'm excited to see what comes of the white car with all this sitting around. Tripple Treat by Touge Photo, on Flickr |

Nice build, been following it since you started.
Can you make a parts list/equipment list of what you used to paint the car? Also how long did it take to do the paint? Looking for a response like "sanding took me like 4 hours, layed on the first light coat, let it dry for about 30 minutes, then did the heavy coat and sanded the bad spots. Total time around 8 hours Just for the exterior" |

I then primed any areas that were bare metal. Finished sanding the car with 320 grit then a round with 400 grit. Washed it. Washed it again. Poured a 4-1 ratio of the cheapest enamel and hardener at automotive supply. Cost $129 and I still have enough left to paint another car. I used a harbor freight gun shown in the pictures on the last page. It was junk. I would invest in a good gun next time for sure. Sprayed 2 thick coats. 15 minutes in between. Let it dry two days in my cold ass garage. I never removed the whole top. Just the trim around the top, undo the screws from inside the trunk to get it off. I also pulled the vinyl cover that covers the suspension top hats in the rear. |

Long awaited updates...
In regards to the 240sx, not much progress has been made. Just a lot of frustration. I had the car trailered away to a buddys shop about 40 minutes away, seen in the pictures above. I took it there in hopes of his master mechanic would be diving into my wiring issues that I couldn't solve. The car just sat there. Nothing progressed. I was really let down. IMG_0466-4 by Touge Photo, on Flickr After two months of it sitting I decided it was time to move it. I felt like there wasn't another option, nothing was getting done. I had another friend offer his help, and he happens to have a few 240sx's himself. I knew we would be getting some work done if I could get it to this other shop located 20 miles away. I had to drive this pile of junk those 20 miles, and lemme tell you... It was downright scary. I really got hosed on this car, the suspension is so broken... "Jic coilovers" that try and bounce you off the road because they are so blown. Aside from the scary suspension, the motor was misfiring and popping... and the low oil pressure light was on. I kept driving. I made it to the shop, and work began. IMG_0073-3 by Touge Photo, on Flickr Installed the wideband IMG_0082 by Touge Photo, on Flickr Inspected the oil pan. IMG_0083 by Touge Photo, on Flickr And found this.... Hence the low oil pressure. IMG_0092 by Touge Photo, on Flickr And that is where the 240sx sits, all of that progress was made months ago. Its sitting currently waiting for a new turbo, and diagnosing of the misfire issue. Aside from the 240sx, my daily driver civic was on its last legs. The frame had been twisted when it lost brakes and slid into a pole over winter. I drove this thing dog tracking for weeks to campus and back. IMG_8410 by Touge Photo, on Flickr I still had a decent amount of profit sitting around from selling Greg (the 240sx convertible), So I went and bought this new replacement daily driver. IMG_0290 by Touge Photo, on Flickr Sedan life, 1993 Acura Integra. Picked it up for $1000, and it has a B16 swap. Vtec yo. It drove, but really needed love. Put my work into it, here is how it currently sits. IMG_1883-2 by Touge Photo, on Flickr IMG_1933 by Touge Photo, on Flickr Also built a Integra coupe to generate some cash. teg done by Touge Photo, on Flickr And then I traded it, and didn't make no cash.... But I got a new daily RWD pony. Introducing Minty! IMG_1880-2 by Touge Photo, on Flickr |

Dude- this thread has been awesome fun to read... and a lot of great work to boot!
BTW- If I had a dollar for every time I wished I was your size when leaning over my hood; I'd have as much cash laying on my floor as you & the other two triplets did in that one pic haha! Sorry you got stuck with that POS white hatch. Sucks you prolly didn't know anyone else here in St. Louis to confer with before doing that deal... That car had been to hell and back; typical for that kind of car in this area. You definitely got the short end of the stick (sorry, couldn't resist lol). Keep it up man!
