Hi im new :)
Hi my name is Christian and i just finally bought an S14 after wanting one for so long and i love it now the car has a full s15 6 speed swap in it with ac/pw evrything is stock I would love to here the experts opinion on the swap and things i should look out for because i have notice people are not the biggest fan of the 6 speed tranny and thats ok i can always get a 5 speed if something goes wrong, but what should i be concern about engine wise besides parts been lil harder to find? Thanks evryone in advance

Welcome the forum! Congrats on the swap, its a ton of fun. Be smart with it hahah that's all I can say.
You'll find some great info on the site, awesome marketplace and the typical forum bullshit with a twist haha In regards to the 6 speed, its really about your goal with the car. If you're going with higher horsepower things are bound to eventually wear our faster. My advice is take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt. Some guys shit talk the 6 speed saying "its weak" but others have had success with it in upwards of high 400 hp from what I have read. |

welcome. curious; why go back to a 5 speed? also I use Royal Purple Max Gear 75W-9. make sure what ever you use, that its API GL-5 or GL-4 fluid. if not it will eat through your copper synchros.

Not planing to, but if something would go wrong on the future there a lil easier to come by and more reliable for what i seen i guess im just extra careful and like to prep in advance lol lets hope it never happens and thanks for the info i should have plenty of that at work
