just thought i would share with everyone. maybe some of you watch the show or what not. all the guys involved are very nice. we are doing some work to it, and had a chance to drive it around. the thing is a Beast!!

LOL, they said it was originally fire engine red but the HD camaras wouldn't pick up the color so they had to dull it up and after sitting in the sun turn to this #$U% Brown. haha

well its called the Dominator. this vehicle is on a show called storm chasers on the discovery channel. it is driven by reed Timmer and his friends who go around the states to chase tornado's. this vehicle was purposely built to be able to withstand the forces of a twister so that they would be able to drive into one. you can see the cannons on the side of the Dominator? these cannons have tiny probes that when shoot in the air these probes get sucked into the twister and gather a bunch of info where reed and his team are able to analyze, and better understand how a tornado works.this same vehicle was also on the myth busters to see what wind speeds this vehicle could withstand. and they have a tag on one of the sides (get a pic tomorrow) showing that it was myth busters test to withstand 250mph wind gusts.

yes it is based on a 08 tahoe. it is covered in about half an inch thick of Rino lining. "hood risers" lol it looks like that because of the hydraulics. it has modified strut towers to fit them and also still retains the factory shocks.
