alright...were working on a forum and we want to use a local guy (drifting in the hills) as the banner, just a small clip of him

but i cant figure out how to make it into a gif...so if anyone could help me out or let me send them the file so i can get it set up

ImageReady may be able to do it, that's how I make animated gif's. If not, try Flash, it would be fairly simple to implement in Flash.

You can convert the video to flv format and play it in this guys player above. Not sure if that will help you but it's a shot. You can edit it to get rid of the player bars I believe if you want to hide the fact that it's a video.
