^I've already sourced a R32 N1 BMC brand new from Nissan, it's the only R chassis that never had ABS (R-Chassis's being R32 to present) I'm told. I'll be upgrading to that eventually, but as the car isn't drivable yet, I'm just mocking up stuff.

My R32 GTs-t doesn't have ABS but I think the 300TT BMC is comparative size. Just a heads up skyline forums have these for cheap. |

I've read somewhere in a magazine that all Z32's in Japan came with ABS, a friend in Australia also backed that idea. Buying new isn't a problem, I'd rather have a new bmc personally, just a piece of mind.

Rebuilt MC of any kind (brake or clutch) isn't worth the trouble. When I was even poorer than I am now I once had to replace my clutch mc 3x from pep boys. They don't make replacement pistons for mc's they just machine the bore and put in a bigger o-ring when they rebuild them, thus they have a lot of "blow by". I cheap out and buy a lot of shit used/rebuilt/on ebay, but not MC's any more.

great job on the build, definitely patience is a virtue with a build as in depth as this one is. I am facing a build similar to this one on my S14 but the rust isn't as bad, but both my rockers need replacing. I've got a brand new drivers side rocker from nissan but was told there is none left for passenger side, now I'm not sure what to do there? got any ideas?
Also will you be painting the front radiator upper and lower radiator support?

had some metal laying around the shop so I decided to put it to use, I might do this to a few other sets of front lower control arms I have if anyone is interested in a set
after talking to Adam, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have this car put on a rotisserie and sandblasted top to bottom, I'm tired of jumping from place to place and doing small fixes here and there, might as well just have it stripped and start over from bare metal rather than mess with the chemical stripping anymore. this will be the bottom view of what used to be the spare tire area, I have the piece of metal already cut out for the trunk floor, I'll go back and redo the bracing that was for the old fuel cell later, but now you have an idea of what I bought these JIC's with the intent of having them rebuilt, but JIC doesn't rebuild coilovers this old anymore, but they do offer a trade in program where you can get a discount on a new set by trading your old ones in, car on the lift getting ready to test fit the bumper reinforcement bar to see what trimming must be done to fit the intercooler I've had these S13 Silvia fog lights for a while, thought since the bumper was being test fit that I should see how these might work, here's a picture of the fog light bracket in it's original position as you can see, the fog light is hitting the intercooler and the mounting hole doesn't even come close to working but when you unbolt the bracket from the fog light and turn it around it does put the fog light out a bit from the intercooler, and still looks stock too the wiring should be spot on, so after final modification of the bumper bar I'll put it all on and make sure it all works if your thinking this post was all over the place, your right, it is. I love being A.D.D. |

^ I was actually going to see if anyone might be interested in having me weld theirs also, but I know the mods are hard core on making people pay dues for offering their services on here, probbly wouldn't be worth the few bucks I'd make off of it anyway, on the other hand, if I could get in with a powder coating friend of mine and weld some up, powder coat and turn them around that would be cool.

UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES! I'm so glad this car is so close now, otherwise the minimal amount of work I have done to it would've taken months as opposed to hours. Everything covered in this post was done today. Hopefully the brakes will be fully operational by Saturday.
ok so, here is the brake line that comes down from the master cylinder for the rear brakes, notice the fitting that has been flared on and the brake junction that has been installed here, (which I'm using against advice, I've always been told brake junctions are bad news, lets hope not, ok, enough under my breath talk) this modification allows the brake fluid that goes to the rear brakes to go through the proportioning valve then the hydraulic hand brake before then going to the rear of the car the silver brake line up front is the one coming from the master cylinder, the darker one is coming from the hydraulic hand brake and will actually be tied back into the factory line, here you can see it's close, but still needed some adjustments, when it gets close like this a line bender won't help much, just some good ole fashion hand bending, but make sure you don't kink the line, DONE! (if only it were that easy, you've seriously just skimmed over about 2 hours worth of work) a view from the inside here is the line going to the rear brakes, notice the 90° bend I put in it and the fitting that has been flared on and threads into the brake juntion BIG THANKS TO PROJECT NISSAN for the S13 to Z32 rear brake lines! The best $50.00 I've spent in a while. the rest of my afternoon/ night was spent working on this, anyone wanna guess what happens when oil and water mix? Well, this is a favor I'm pulling for the owner of the store, just for good measure so I stay on his good side and he lets me keep my hunk of junk on the lift ^ that needs a new head put on it |

^hey thanks for the KA block Drew, I have a little something to tinker on when I'm tired of working on the S13 now. Well, I had the brakes working 100% when I noticed 2 small drips on both sides of the rear brake proportioning valve, I had to re-do both flares there, then one flare in the engine bay that went to the left side front. After all that I re-bled the system and now everything is 100% with no LEAKS!
I've decided to ditch the S13 Silvia fog lights, even though all the factory wiring is there, for some reason I just don't like how they look with the intercooler, it was too much work to get the intercooler and fog lights not to touch and after doing so the fog lights just look out of place sticking out that far. Not sure what small project I'll be tackling next on the car, but I'll keep you guys posted. |

ok, I finished up the head gasket on this car a few weeks back, we thought it needed to be re-tuned because of the work we had done, turned out it may be a tooth off on the lower chain, should be fixed this weekend.
I'm currently waiting on the turbo manifold to get here so I can start fabricating the wastegate dump tubes, until then the car stays off to the side so I can still use the lift for other stuff. If you'll look closely the rear tire is off the ground, I've only got 2 go-jacks under it and can move it around using only the two. I'll have to post pics of the black S14 tomorrow, our tint guy has used laminex to "black out" all of the lenses, headlights, taillights, turn signals, etc. Kind of the shiny version of murdered out which is a term I'm tired of hearing already. |

shop S14 now has 5% tint, and laminex on the headlights and taillights, pics? Sure, ok.
hm, maybe an update on my S13? The Full Race twin scroll, dual wastegate turbo manifold came in the mail last week, after bolting the 44mm Tials to it I found out quick you have to leave the outside wastegate off until after the manifold is bolted onto the block. Not that the car is any closer to running, but it's one more thing off the list that i have left to buy. saving for the turbo now, I'll start making the wastegate dump tubes after I find some tubing. ^hm, might have to get creative with the oil dip stick bolt point now . . . |
