z33 6spd trans to S13 sr motor

has anyone done this conversion ? or know where a write up is do to this ?
I'm tired of breaking transmissions and replacing them and want something more beefy. the Z32 trans is a option but why not go for the extra gear for the amount of work involved

S15 trans is junk. Its considerably weaker than the 5 speed, and offers no real benefit aside from closer ratio gears. 6th gear in the 6 speed is the same as 5th in the 5 speed. Not to mention the speed sensor for the s15 is on the rear dif.

Try google first but it has been done. In Import Tuner there was an issue where there was a Seafoam green OEM 2 Tone and it had an SR20det with a Z33 mated up to it, so it is possible. However I think it will be easier to mate the S15.

i think the op is tired of breaking transmissions, iirc the s15 trans is not any if that better than the sr 5 speeds.

I saw your op but why not just go with the z32? There's nothing wrong with it, and it's way more than capable of holding all your power and torque.
